Distributors and Retailers

Introduction

As used here:

"AMM" refers to Aerospace Modeler Magazine, which is published by Rookie Aerospace, Inc. "We," "Our," "us," or "RAI," all refer to Rookie Aerospace, Inc.
Unless otherwise specified, “account” refers to an AMM Distributor and Retailer Account.
"You" and "Your" refer to the Distributor or Retailer (a licensed business or corporation) and / or their authorized agent whose name appears as the business or person responsible for payment in your account.

To buy AMM in bulk from RAI and receive a discount, you must create an AMM Distributor and Retailer Account. Creation of an account constitutes acceptance by you of these T&C.

Your AMM Distributor and Retailer Account

You may decline to provide information that we request (e.g., your store hours, your state sales tax number, etc.), but we may decline to allow you to activate your account if we don’t believe you’ve provided us with adequate information to service your account. Please contact us via the website if you have any problems establishing or maintaining your account.
You must establish a valid Standing Order Quantity (SOQ) for the next issue.
- No magazines will be shipped or billed to you until you set your SOQ to some quantity above the minimum (5 copies). Your first automatic shipment will be the next issue we send to the printer after you adjust your SOQ to some number greater than 5.
- Creating your account and establishing a valid, non-zero SOQ places an order for the next issue. It does not automatically create an order for any back issues or recent issues.
- Thereafter, maintaining a valid, non-zero SOQ will automatically place an order for subsequent issues.
- If you want to start your order with the most recent issue instead of the next issue, we’ll do that manually. Please contact the AMM Distribution Manager directly via the AMM website.
You can access your account to change your SOQ or update your shipping and billing information at any time.
- If you re-set your SOQ back to zero, your account will remain active on our system, but the next issue will not be sent to you if the SOQ is still set at zero when we process invoices and shipments for that issue.
- Changes made in SOQ after an issue has been shipped will normally be reflected on the next order. We may be able to accommodate last-minute changes if you contact us via e-mail or phone, but once your shipment is on its way to you, our options may be more limited.
While supplies last, you may order back issues (including the most recent issue) or re-order the most recent issue in bulk. Please contact the AMM Distribution Manager directly via the AMM website for this, since back issue orders and re-orders of the most recent issue are accomplished manually.
If at some point after all your invoices have been paid in full and you want your account deleted from our system, just contact us and we’ll do that manually on our end.

Minimum Order Quantity

Minimum order is five (5) copies of the current issue shipped to a single address. The same minimum applies to back issue bulk orders. We no longer include complementary “counter copies” with orders.

Payment

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data (including the SOQ) in your account. Except in cases of errors on our part, you are responsible to pay for magazines ordered using your account.

Payment for all orders to addresses within the US is due in full in US funds in 30 days from the date on our invoice.

All standing orders and back issue bulk orders to addresses outside the US must be paid in full in advance by credit card or in US funds or drawn on a US Bank.

A packing list / invoice will come in the package with your magazines, and a separate invoice will be mailed (e-mailed for addresses outside the US) to your billing address.

You may view your order history and pay outstanding invoices by credit card (MC or VISA) on the AMM website.

Discounts and Returns

We offer a customary long discount and no returns.

Subject to availability, there is no maximum order or re-order limit.

Discount rates vary by SOQ and are shown in the table below. Discount rates are the same for all distributors, regardless of shipping address. Discounts will be applied to re-orders, but these will have to be processed manually.

Shipping rates can vary widely, depending on shipping destination country. Since we have no control over the USPS, shipping rates and package quantities are subject to change without notice, but we will also include a note on your next invoice.¹ We cover remainders on US shipping. All orders outside the US will be sent as inexpensively as we can package them, but shipping for foreign orders will include remainders. (For example, shipping for an order of 37 sent to Canada will cost $34, consisting of $24 for the box of 30 plus $10 for a package of 7.)

These discounts and shipping rates also apply to bulk orders for back issues. You must contact us directly to order back issues in bulk, and if you contact us in time, we’ll gladly combine back issue orders with your standing orders to save you money on postage.

Selling Price

Unless you have permission in writing from us, you agree not to advertise in print, electronic, radio, e-mail, or internet media or any other mass media to sell any individual copy of AMM (this includes the most recent issue or any back issue) or groups of individual back issues of AMM for less than the full cover price until 12 months after the date on your invoice for those copies. This specifically applies to distributors or resellers who sell both single copies to individuals (regardless of sales venue) and in bulk to other retailers at a discount.

Fitness, Merchantability, and Availability

AMM is sold without any guarantee of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose.

Our print runs are sized to accommodate all individual subscribers and all SOQ for distributors and retailers. After that, quantities are limited to supplies on hand. When placing large orders (over 50 copies) for back issues or re-orders, please contact us for availability information beforehand.

We reserve the right to correct or change these T&C and any other T&C that govern our operations at any time and without notice.

We reserve the right to refuse to do business with anyone, including those who violate these T&C or any of the T&C defined in the other pertinent documents listed below. That includes the right to disable accounts to prevent them from disrupting our operations without any loss of our rights to collect payment for magazines already ordered and shipped.

These other documents apply to bulk purchases of AMM by distributors and retailers. They may be reviewed on the AMM website.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Colorado, and the venue for any proceeding brought hereunder shall be El Paso County, Colorado. If any term, provision, or condition of this contract / invoice is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remainder of the provisions of this contract / invoice shall continue in full force and effect. Should the language of any provision of this contract / invoice subsequently prove to be ambiguous or misleading, it will not be construed adversely against either party.

No conditions other than those set forth here shall be binding on us unless specifically agreed to by us in writing. We are not bound by conditions appearing on any reservation or copy instruction which conflict with these terms, conditions, and specifications. This contract / invoice contains the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the transactions contemplated herein and supersedes all previous written or oral contracts, agreements, negotiations, commitments and writings concerning your ad.

¹ Shipping rates are calculated for 80-page copies. Once AMM goes to 96 pages, these rates will likely be adjusted accordingly.

² For domestic US shipping, we pay roughly 50% of the shipping cost at periodical rates. For larger orders (25 or more), the shipping calculation neglects remainders, which provides you even bigger savings. For 80-page copies in the US, we nominally ship in boxes of 25 or 50 and envelopes for quantities smaller than 25.

³ For 80-page copies shipped outside the US, we ship in USPS Flat Rate boxes (about 30 copies per box) and envelopes (about 7 copies per envelope). This reduces your shipping costs by as much as two thirds compared to non-standardized packaging.
