It’s Easy to Order Direct from the Publisher
To buy Aerospace Modeler Magazine in bulk and receive a discount, you must create a password-protected AMM Distributor and Retailer Account. It only takes three easy steps. Please contact the Distribution Manager if you have any questions or encounter any problems establishing or maintaining your account.
STEP 1. Review the AMM Distributors and Retailers Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), which gives full details on quantities, discounts, shipping, and returns. These T&Cs have been recently been revised considerably to make them more customary and to support retailers and distributors both inside and outside the US, so please read them carefully. Here are some key features:
-
Base price (same as cover price in the US) is the same for all retailers and distributors, regardless of destination country.
-
Discounts vary by order size, but they’re also the same for all retailers and distributors, regardless of destination country.
-
Shipping rates vary by destination country. Shipping rates have been standardized, and we’ve expanded service using private carriers like UPS and FEDEX for larger orders.
-
Minimum order is still five (5) copies of the current issue shipped to a single address. The same minimum applies to discounted bulk orders for back issues.
-
Payment for magazines shipped to US addresses is due in full in US funds in 30 days from the date on our invoice. Unless other arrangements are made with us in advance, payment is due in full in US funds in advance for all magazines shipped to addresses outside the US. A hard copy packing list / invoice will come in the package with your order.
-
You can now view your order history and also pay outstanding invoices by credit card (MC or VISA) on the AMM website.
STEP 2. Once you’re satisfied with the T&Cs, create your password-protected AMM Distributors and Retailers Account on the AMM website. In addition to the usual contact, billing, and shipping information, we’ll ask for some other information to set up your account:
-
When you’re ready, you’ll establish a Standing Order Quantity (SOQ). Your SOQ will be initially set to ZERO (0), and you can set a non-zero value at the same time you set up your account. Nothing will be shipped or billed to you until you activate your account by resetting your SOQ to some quantity above the minimum of 5. Your first automatic shipment will be the next issue we send to the printer after you adjust your SOQ to some number greater than 5. If you want to start your order with the most recent issue or order any other back issues, we have to do that manually. Please contact the AMM Distribution Manager.
-
We’ll ask for your store hours. In addition to telling us the best time to contact you, we hope to implement a “hobby store finder and referral” feature on our website soon. AMM readers traveling to your city or town will be able to find you and plan a visit to your shop. Any shop carrying AMM will likely have other items for their aviation or real space modeling hobby which might not be available back home. There’s a place in your account to indicate if you don’t want to be included in this service.
-
We’ll ask for a unique identifying number. This is not required for independent stores, but it’s absolutely critical to keep shipping and billing straight for large or small chains or franchises that share a common name. For HobbyTown USA franchises, we’ll simply use your 5-digit zip code.
-
For US companies, we need your state sales tax ID number.
-
We’ll ask for a dedicated Point of Contact and contact information for that person. This person should be the owner, the manager, or a permanent employee of your business.
-
You can also do your part to help us keep costs down. Please use proper punctuation and capitalization when creating your account. Please make sure your contact and address information is correct at all times.
STEP 3. Once you’ve created your account, we’ll send you an e-mail notice that your account is active. You can then access your account to change your SOQ or update your contact, billing, or shipping information at any time. We’ll also get a duplicate notice through the website, and we’ll look over your data, too. If there are any problems, we’ll contact you. Otherwise, your first issue will be the next issue we send to press, and it will be shipped as soon as possible after we get it back from the printer.
Please contact the AMM Distribution Manager directly to:
